it was then that ririchiyo understood that she was the reason for her parents' fighting and, at the tender age of seven, she withdrew into herself and always did everything they told her to do, not wanting to give them a reason to hate her anymore than they already did. she got the best grades in school, did her chores, and, more importantly, stayed away from anyone male. this caused her to grow up as a lonely child, as none of the girls in her class liked her, thinking her weird and as a result she started thinking that everyone hated her.
the years flew by and she grew lonelier and lonelier, never speaking up in class or at home and with only a scary-looking doll by the name of mrs. mona as comfort.
